XL Reporter in the Microsoft® Excel environment
If you prefer to work on reports in the Microsoft® Excel interface, you can either generate a Microsoft® Excel report definition on basis of a report view created in the Report Composer screen, or you can create a report definition directly in Microsoft® Excel.

When you create or edit a report definition in Microsoft® Excel, you apply the usual functionality of Microsoft® Excel together with the custom commands and specialized features of XL Reporter. Combining the standard features of Microsoft® Excel with the power of XL Reporter, you have an extremely advanced and flexible reporting tool that enables you to create just about anything you would want to include in a report.
