Description
This dashboard provides an example of revenue analysis for different divisions in a diversified company. By clicking on any of the pictures (each depicting an division in the company) on the left, the report and the charts and gauges changes focus to the selected division. At the bottom is a moving ticker that shows the largest checks received from customers today. By clicking on any of the customers in the ticker, more detailed information about the payment will show up in the window above the ticker.
Management Value
A dashboard like the one in this example is a great high level revenue presentation and analysis tool for management. The ticker is a simple example of pulling related, but more detailed key information (such as the top 10 checks received from customers today) up from the ERP system to show in an executive dashboard. Because every row in each report is selectable and will change the gauges to show the variance for the selected row, this single dashboard would represent the equivalent of more than 40 pages of reports if you were to use a standard report writer with static graphics.
