Description
This dashboard shows a high level budget with sliders to adjust the each line item of the budget. This particular example automatically starts out with the budgets equal to the actual figures for the same time period last year, and the sliders allows a senior manager to increase or decrease each line in the budget without the need to enter any numbers. The charts update dynamically as each budget line is adjusted. The gauge shows Net Profit (Loss) and also changes dynamically as the budget lines are adjusted up or down. The text window in the lower left corner provides the manager with an option to enter text comments that together that is saved together with each budget scenario using the scenario button in upper right hand corner.

Using a budget (or forecast) dashboard like this, a manager can create a high level budget scenario in minutes and then share it with other managers as a top-down snapshot prior to a budget meeting and prior to a bottom-up budget process. It is also a great, highly user-friendly stand-alone budget simulation tool for high level executives.
